Happy Anniversary, Mommy & Daddy!

Can you believe it? Mommy and Daddy have been married 10 whole years! I'm such a lucky girl. My [Aunt] Kandis offered to watch me while Mommy and Daddy went out alone to celebrate. Little did they know, we were up to something, and it was fun! We invited [Uncle] Matt over to my house and he brought his camera and took all sorts of cool pictures of me just being me! I was doing everything I normally do, but he caught it all through the lens of his camera — everything from praying to dinner to bathtime and bedtime. Boy, was it fun. I got to run around and act as goofy as I wanted and Matt and Kandis just egged me on by laughing and clapping the whole time. I have to admit, I was pretty entertaining. Take a peek at my slideshow below, you'll see that Uncle Matt did an awesome job in capturing my big personality.

My Independence Day

What's more important to a two-year-old than celebrating her independence? You're right. Nothing! Independence Day was the best day ever! Mommy says the day was to celebrate the United States severing ties from Britain, but I say it's a day to celebrate a little independence of my own. Mommy and Daddy's friends Amy and James had a cookout at their house and invited everyone over. The best part was that my friend, Ava, was there. She's almost two also. We had so much fun playing together, we hardly noticed anyone around us. We had a tea party, climbed stairs, played tent and ate dinner. We got along so well together, Ava's mommy is going to pick me up for a playdate with Ava on Friday. And she says we're going swimming. Yippee!

Mommy and Daddy's friends are so wonderful and good to us. Here's Ava with her Daddy. Aren't they adorable? And here's Ava and I hamming it up.
And there's James grilling all the meat. Hi James! And there's Amy and Tammy with Daddy. I think he's irresistible, too!

What a great party. Thank you Amy and James!!

Little Church Lady

Well, I started at my new daycare at First United Methodist Church of Richardson this week and even though Mommy and Daddy were scared, it was a piece of cake for me. The first day, I was so excited about my new daycare, I could hardly contain myself! There were new teachers, new kids and most of all, new activities. Everyday I get two snacks and a hot lunch. Yummy! I never got that at Ms. Val's. I also get to to tons of fun things like go to chapel, do arts and crafts, do body rythmics, have outdoor play, splash time, if it's sunny, learning time and rest time. And my room is like a real big girl classroom with lots of tables and chairs that are just my size. There's also an adjacent bathroom for potty training. Want to know a secret? I used it on my very first day and must have washed my hands a hundred times. Hooray!! I didn't know what I was missing. I could get used to this!

I even have my very own cubby hole with my name on it. This is where Mommy and Daddy pick up their daily sheets that tell them how I acted, ate and pottied throughout the day. Mom says she absolutely loves getting these reports. They help her to understand what my day has been like. And as you can see, this is where Mommy dropped off my swimming suit and swim diapers. I hope the rain stops soon so we can go out and have a splash day. That would be terrific!

I think my favorite part so far has been the arts and crafts we get to do. We sit at kid-sized tables and my teachers, Ms. Kellie and Ms. Kelly (I know, funny, huh?) help me to use all the materials to make my very own creations. I've only been at this new place two days and I've already made a picture for Mommy and Daddy of all of us, a glitter fireworks picture and an American flag made of construction paper. I never knew there were so many fun things to do! I think I'm really going to like this new place. Thank you Mommy and Daddy!!

So Long, Farewell!

Well, the day to leave Ms. Val was bound to come. I just didn't know how soon it would be! Mommy and Daddy decided to move me from Ms. Val's house to a program at our church — First United Methodist in Richardson, and last Thursday was my very last day. Ms. Val has taken care of me since I was just 12 weeks old and she's the only caregiver I've ever known. But my parents say I'm getting bigger now and I need a "more structured environment"... whatever that means.

Because I have been with Ms. Val for over two years, it was hard to leave her and all the friends I had made. As you can see, Ryan here was my best buddie. He was almost my exact same age and we loved and loved and loved.... to play together. Ha! You thought he was my boyfriend, didn't you? Well, unfortunately I haven't found anyone that compares to my Daddy, so that will have to wait. But I do love to hug and kiss all my friends. Mommy says I'm just sweet like that. I can't say that I disagree.

The best part about my last day at Ms. Val's was my Going Away Parteeeee! Mommy brought cupcakes and hats to Ms. Val's so I could celebrate my two wonderful years there. It was so much fun! We ate, sang songs and danced around. I'm becoming a real performer these days. If you haven't heard my voice yet, you should ask me to sing a little tune the next time you see me. My favorite right now is "Do-Re-Mi" from The Sound of Music. Ms. Val, it's been a terrific two years and I will miss you dearly.

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye!

My Daddy's Day

Father's Day was pretty special this year. My Grandpa was in for the weekend, so both Mommy and I had our Daddy's there. On Sunday, Mommy, Nana and I took Daddy and Grandpa to Pappadeaux's Seafood Kitchen for a big, big lunch. And I was excited to go. At first, we had to wait for a table, so I played in the fountain on the patio and got all soaking wet. I had a ball, but Mommy wasn't too thrilled about it. I especially liked dunking my toy in the water and counting all the goldfish! When it was time to go in, I headed right for the lobster tank. Boy, those guys sure were ugly! At lunch, I got to eat all kinds of food I'd never tried before. Some I liked and some I didn't. Hey, I'm a kid. I have a delicate palette. What do you expect? But we had a wonderful time eating and watching all the people go by. I thought it was expecially fun because we had lots of family there. And I was on my best behavior, too... just for my Daddy on Father's Day. I love you Daddy and Grandpa! I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did!

The Case Of The Missing Leg

The other day, me, Mommy and Daddy were shopping at our neighborhood Kohl's store. Mommy was off looking at something, so Daddy was watching me. Needless to say, I was running around the store like a monkey on the loose, when I came upon a couple of interesting little girls. They weren't doing much, just standing there kind of frozen. But they were taller than me and had on a these really neat tennis shoes. So, like the two-year-old I am, I went up to one of the stiff girls and tugged on her leg to try and get her shoe off. And to my surprise, her leg came right off in my arms! I didn't know what to do. I was just standing there holding this girl's leg, wondering what I should do next. About that time, my daddy rounded the corner, saw me and started busting out laughing. So that made me laugh, too. He then told me to go and show my mommy what I had done. When I found her, I held out the leg to her and she started laughing, also. So there we were, the three of us in the middle of Kohl's children's department, me holding a mannequin's leg, all laughing until our tummies ached... and Mommy almost peed her pants. I never knew how much fun pulling someone's leg could be!

Memories of Memorial Day

Well, finally I took my very FIRST trip to the beach. And boy, was it fun! Daddy's friend, Mark, and his wife, Lori, invited us all to their beach house in Galveston for Memorial Day weekend. I'd never been on a long car ride before, so I was a little nervous, but Mommy and Daddy were smart. They bought me a DVD player so I could watch all my favorites — Little Einsteins, Elmo and Princess Stories — right there in the car! It was a 6-hour drive, but it was all a blur because I was having so much fun. I didn't even sleep once!

The very first thing we did was go for a boat ride. I put on a lifejacket and off we went. It was terrrrrrific! We went really slow at first, looking at all the houses on the canal — and there are some big ones! Then, we went "Allegro", as the Little Einsteins would say. Daddy helped me pat my knees just like the Little Einsteins do when they want to go really fast. Then we raised our arms above our heads and yelled "Blastoff!" And Mark made the boat take off like a rocket. We went super-fast across the ocean in the bay area and I loved every minute of it.

Then, the next day, it was off to the beach. Yippee! I put on my bikini, got all lathered up in sunscreen and hit the waves. I had so much fun, I didn't know what to do. I kept running into the waves and back out. In and out. In and out. I just couldn't stop! Lori had bought me a pale, so I played in the sand, collected shells and just sat and let the waves wash up over me. I think it was the best time I've had in my whole life.

While I was off having all that fun, Mark, Lori and Annie (the dog), were just chilling, watching the ocean. Mommy thought this was such a cool site, she just HAD to get a picture. Thank you Mark and Lori for a wonderful Memorial Day. I hope I get to come back soon!

Thanks Easter Bunny!

This year, the Easter bunny was especially nice to me. Not only did I get to wear my special Easter dress, but I got TWO Easter baskets, had an Easter egg hunt and got to see all my favorite people! Mommy and Daddy's friends Paige and Colin invited us all over for what they call the "Orphans Easter Celebration." It's a celebration for all of us who don't have lots of family in town, but want to participate in a big celebration. Here I am picking up Easter eggs. It was so fun! You know, I have done this one time before. So I was running around, picking them up like an old pro.

It was a little chilly on Easter Sunday, so Mommy had me wear a sweater. I sure was glad, too, because it kept my arms nice and warm while I was gathering all those eggs!

Look at all the eggs I got. The Easter Bunny didn't hold back on putting plenty of eggs all around the back yard. And... they were filled with candy! I almost missed a couple of eggs because I was too busy stuffing my mouth full of jelly beans! Yummy!

This is Seth. He was this super-sweet boy that I hunted Easter eggs with. He was so adorable! Every time he'd go and pick up an egg, he'd come and give it to me. I tell ya, I sure do know how to wrap those boys around my little finger already! Oh, and his hugs were the best!

Yeah. Seth and I were fast friends. He's two, too, so that made it even better, that we spoke the same language. I think we'll be friends forever.

Daddy helped with the big Easter egg hunt, too. He helped me find all the tough ones. Then, we opened up all the eggs and ate what was inside. I have a sneaking suspicion that I didn't get all my candy back... Hmm....

Nana came with us to the Easter celebration, too. It sure was neat having her there. And I think she had fun, too. The lunch was just like Thanksgiving. There was turkey, pork, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes. All the fixins. We were in hog heaven!

When we got home, I was so pumped full of sugar, I didn't know what to do with myself. So Mommy took some more pictures and I went inside and tried not to crash from the sugar high I had all afternoon.

Easter was really fun this year. I got to spend it with Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Kandis, Tammy and Matt — all my favorite people. Thank you Paige and Colin, for opening your home to us. I can't wait to see you again next year!

Trinity At Two

Yes. It's true. I AM TWO YEARS OLD! Can you believe it? It seemed like just yesterday, I was drinking from a bottle and keeping Mommy and Daddy awake every night. But, now that I'm two, I'm having so much fun being a big girl — running, jumping, playing, counting and singing are just some of my daily activities. Life's just getting better and better as I learn and grow more each and every day! To document how big I've gotten in my two whole years of life, Matt, Tammy and Mommy took me out to Las Colinas for pictures. Take a peek below. And if you want to order one, email info@mattnicolosi.com. I won't be Terrifically Two forever!

Cock-A-Doodle-Doo, Trinity Turned 2!

Sunday, April 15th, was a VERY BIG DAY for me! I turned 2 years old! To celebrate my second year, Mommy and Daddy went all out and threw me a barnyard party right in my very own backyard! It was SO FUN! There was a real life petting zoo with baby animals AND a pony. Can you believe it?! Mom and GG also painted this huge mural to make it feel like we were really on a farm. I tell ya, it sure did feel like it with all the fun we were having. Then, after the petting zoo, we got to eat mini burgers, cheesy popcorn and birthday cake! Mom and Dad had been singing "Happy Birthday" to me all week, but it still didn't prepare me for the moment when I could blow out my own candles. It was too cool! It was so much fun, I can't wait until next year!
